Going into ONE Friday Fights 1, Nong-O Gaiyanghadao has one thing on his mind for when he steps inside the circle.

On January 20, the ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world champion will look to defend his belt against Russia’s Alaverdi Ramazanov. Whilst he knows the dangers that Ramazanov brings to the table, Nong-O wants to test his opponent's chin early on in the fight to see how he reacts. As Mike Tyson famously said, “Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth."

In an interview with ONE Championship, Nong-O Gaiyanghadao gave this preview of the fight:

“His strength is his speed, quick step in-out and dangerous punch. He is able to maintain his good standard in fighting. In his fight with Capitan [Petchyindee], he had a very good game plan and adjustment to handle the opponent. That’s why he won that fight.”

He added:

“I think Alaverdi would have a full energy in the first and second rounds. But my game plan is to let him eat my clean and heavy shots a few times. And, I'll see how he will react. Then go to the next step of my game plan.”

WATCH: Nong-O Gaiyanghadao breaks down his punishing Muay Thai-style roundhouse kick

ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world champion Nong-O Gaiyanghadao is a master of the fundamentals of Muay Thai.

The dominant champion is living proof of the old Bruce Lee quote, “I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times.”

Whilst his arsenal of weapons may not be the flashiest on the ONE roster, he executes each and every technique with devastating power, speed and precision.

One such technique that he has used to great effect is his trademark roundhouse kick to the body.

On his Instagram, ONE commentator Mitch Chilson posted a video where Nong-O demonstrated the technique to him by breaking down how he lands it so effectively.

Here's the video:

"@nongogaiyanghadao breaks down his punishing Muay Thai style right roundhouse kick. Catch him in action when he defends his BW title at the first @onechampionship Lumpinee card!!"

Nong-O Gaiyanghadao makes his body kick look incredibly simple. Broken down to three steps, anybody could throw it. However, there aren't many who can do it as well as the ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world champion.
