Joe Rogan recently opined that Mike Perry should have taken a different route instead of boxing Jake Paul in their July encounter. According to the UFC color commentator, Perry should've held firm on his favored format of bare-knuckle fighting.

Perry, an undefeated star in Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC), holds five wins, with notable victories over Eddie Alvarez and Michael 'Venom' Page. 'Platinum' served as a replacement for Mike Tyson after the boxing star was forced to withdraw from the July 20 encounter. Perry put on a gritty performance despite losing to Paul via TKO in the sixth round.

On a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, the UFC color commentator asserted that Perry should've challenged Paul to a bare-knuckle fight. He said:

"We were talking about Mike Perry before... that's the perfect spot for that dude. He should've told Jake Paul, 'Listen, we need to fight but let's do bare knuckle p*ssy. Let's go!' It's a different thing with that guy."

The guests on Joe Rogan's podcast, Mat Serra and Din Thomas acknowledged his take and presented the counterpoint that Paul has been "very smart" with picking and choosing his opponents from the MMA realm. 'The Problem Child' has fought several MMA fighters seemingly approaching the twilight of their careers. He holds a 10-1 professional record and has only lost to Tommy Fury via split decision.

Joe Rogan expresses concern over the possibility of Jake Paul knocking out Mike Tyson

Boxing legend Mike Tyson will return to the ring to take on Jake Paul in a rescheduled fixture on Nov. 15 at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Tyson was last seen inside the boxing ring in November 2020 in an exhibition match against Roy Jones Jr. Paul, took on Nate Robinson on the same card in only his second professional fight, and won the fight by knockout in the second round.

Several fighters, analysts, and fans are having trouble making sense of the matchup, especially considering that Tyson is 58 years old. Joe Rogan, in the aforementioned episode of his podcast, shared his reservations regarding the matchup and said:

"I really hope he [Paul] doesn't knock Mike Tyson out. I'll just be really bummed out to see Mike get KO'd at 58 years old."

His guest Din Thomas supported his stance and added:

What other sport where we let a 58-year-old man compete other than golf? Why are we letting this happen?"
