“Let’s do the best striking fight together” - Takeru Segawa has a message for Thai rival Rodtang Jitmuangon

Second-ranked ONE flyweight kickboxing contender and former ONE world title challenger 'The Natural Born Crusher' Takeru Segawa of Japan is getting ready to take on the man he joined ONE Championship for -- Thai rival 'The Iron Man' Rodtang Jitmuangnon.

Takeru signed with the world's largest martial arts organization in early 2024 in the hopes of fighting the former ONE flyweight Muay Thai king, and now the two are booked to throw down early this year.

Speaking to Bangkok Post in a recent interview, Takeru had a message for Rodtang.

'The Natural Born Crusher' said:

"Be sure to make your condition 100 percent. Let’s do the best striking fight together in the ring."

Needless to say, the Takeru versus Rodtang fight is one of the most highly anticipated battles of the year, and Japanese fans are expected to come out in droves to watch these two go at it.

Both men are deep in training, working hard until fight night.

'The Natural Born Crusher' Takeru Segawa and 'The Iron Man' Rodtang Jitmuangnon will finally meet each other in the ring this year, as the two head to the land of the rising sun for a kickboxing super-fight.

The two lock horns at ONE 172: Takeru vs. Rodtang, which broadcasts live in Asia primetime from the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan on Sunday, March 23.
