Jarred Brooks has reignited his epic rivalry with divisional strawweight MMA king Joshua Pacio after making a massive statement at ONE Fight Night 24.
The American superstar claimed the coveted ONE interim strawweight MMA world title on Friday, with a first-round submission finish against 'El Gladiador' Gustavo Balart.
The victory marks the start of an interim world title reign for Brooks after he lost his original belt via disqualification against Pacio earlier this year in Qatar. However, he's not one to rest on his laurels alone. He continues the struggle until unifying his belt with Pacio one more time.
During the in-ring interviews in Thailand, 'The Monkey God' called out the Filipino world champion and said:

"If Joshua Pacio heals up, man, I got two, you got one. So let's match it up, brother."
'The Monkey God' Jarred Brooks amazed fans once again with his indestructible wrestling and jiu-jitsu game against a former Olympic wrestler. His dominance was clear from the moment he took Balart to the ground.
Unfortunately, Balart couldn't get back to his feet. He fought with courage but Brooks' guard was too much for him to handle. He tapped out with only 20 seconds left on the clock.

"They just help me through my emotions" - Jarred Brooks says he keeps level-headed with the help of a strong support system found in his wife and daughter
Family has played a monumental role in Jarred Brooks' personal and professional life since becoming a new dad.
The 31-year-old veteran welcomed a baby daughter last year, and she's all he ever talks about. Whenever he feels anxious or upset, Brooks just thinks about his family and then all those emotions go away.
Losing to Joshua Pacio, for instance, was very disheartening, especially after having a tough training camp. However, Brooks was able to through all the noise and pick himself up from his bootstraps with the help of a strong support system at home.
Speaking about his family, Brooks told ONE:
"They just help me get through my emotions, either through happy emotions or through sad emotions. They help me with those, and they're with me through life."
