Liam Harrison down to cross paths with Rodtang when ONE debuts in the UK: "That'll be insane"

Muay Thai legend Liam Harrison wants to compete on ONE Championship's inevitable debut card in the United Kingdom. While a matchup against Jonathan Haggerty has been the talk of the town, the Leeds slugger does not have the two-sport ONE world champion in mind, however – and for a good reason.

Speaking to the South China Morning Post, the Leeds slugger admitted that top-ranked bantamweight Muay Thai contender Nico Carrillo deserves his shot at the Londoner's gold more than he does.

Still, he's down to throw down in England under the promotional banner alongside ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon in a catchweight tie.

Liam Harrison shared:

"If they did it early next year, and if Haggerty keeps the belt against Superlek, which is a hard ask itself...if he keeps the belt, maybe there's a show in England early next year with Haggerty versus Nico as the main event."

The Bad Company martial artist continued:

"Maybe put me as the co-main event, I don't know, Rodtang could come to 140 pounds or something like that. Imagine that. That'll be insane."

Though there has been no news on when the promotion will officially land in English territory, a card loaded with four of the names mentioned does sound like a show that would provide the watching world with a knockout-filled spectacle.

Stephen Loman says Liam Harrison-Seksan showdown in Denver has "fight of the night" written all over it

Before Liam Harrison aims to bless his local crowd with another trademark performance in England, the Leeds legend goes up against fellow Muay Thai icon Seksan Or Kwanmuang at ONE 168: Denver in Ball Arena on September 6.

They go toe-to-toe in a 140-pound catchweight contest, which has fireworks written all over it. Third-ranked bantamweight MMA contender Stephen Loman shares the same sentiment.

Speaking to Sportskeeda MMA, the Lions Nation MMA athlete said:

"These are two legends in the ring. Neither man knows how to back down, so I'm sure it will be exciting. If you are a fan of action, you can't miss this one. It might be fight of the night."
