Former ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world title challenger Liam Harrison has some words for his fellow English fighter Jonathan Haggerty.
Ahead of Haggtery's world title bout against reigning ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world champion Nong-O Hama, 'The Hitman' explained how hard it was to fight the Thai legend.
In an Instagram clip taken from Liam Harrison's podcast, Kickin' it With Liam Harrison, the fighting Englishman spoke with kickboxing world champions James 'Badger' France and Andy Howson about the greatness of Nong-O:

Harrison pointed out Nong-O's most recent challenger, former ONE bantamweight kickboxing titleholder Alaverdi Ramazanov, whom he knocked out in three rounds. He compared the Russian striker to 'The General', who has a similar style:
"[Jonathan] Haggerty vs. Nong-O [Hama]. Look at how big Haggerty is and look at how big Alaverdi [Ramazanov] is. He's twice as big as Haggerty. He's got a similar style like Haggerty, all over the ring and stuff and like that, and look at [how] Nong-O just shut him down dead."
Harrison further explained:
"He [Nong-O] didn't give him [Ramazanov] no room. His movement were different. He cut him off. He pinned him on the ropes and he just went to town with him. There were body shots, heavy kicks, elbows. He blasted him with everything."
James France added to the pont as well:
"He [Jonathan Haggerty] is a burst fighter. He hits you with something lethal but he has to take a breather... Nong-O will fight you for 3 minutes."
According to Harrison, the biggest problem Jonathan Haggerty might face against Nong-O is the Thai world champion's uncanny ability to pick up the pace. As evidenced by the Thai's dismantling of Ramazanov, he can burst and maintain his high output for rounds on end.
Jonathan Haggerty's last loss was similar to Nong-O's KO of Alaverdi Ramazanov
One very interesting takeaway from Liam Harrison's assessment of Jonathan Haggerty's chances against Nong-O Hama is how 'The General' was last defeated.
Haggerty's last loss was via TKO to ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon.
'The General' was finished by a barrage of body shots, similar to how Nong-O dismantled Alaverdi Ramazanov at ONE Friday Fights 1.
Rodtang did exactly what Nong-O did: pressure, pressure, pressure. 'The Iron Man' stalked Haggerty around the ring while nonchalantly eating everything the Brit threw at him.
He then closed the show by knocking down Jonathan Haggerty three straight times to earn the dominant TKO victory.

Though we know 'The General' has made improvements in his game since losing to Rodtang, the way he lost could still be a point of concern. It will be interesting to see if Nong-O exploits the holes in Haggerty's game that were revealed by Rodtang years ago. Everything is still yet to be seen.
Jonathan Haggerty will fight Nong-O Hama for the ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world title at ONE Fight Night 9. The event will air live and for free to all Prime Video subscribers in North America.
