British Muay Thai legend and ONE bantamweight standout Liam Harrison is set to make his long-awaited return to action at ONE 167 on June 7. Across the ring from him will be Japanese standout Katsuki Kitano in a three-round Muay Thai contest.
This will be the first time 'Hitman' will lace up the gloves in over a year since suffering a knee injury and subsequently going under the knife to have it repaired. Back in August of 22 at ONE on Prime Video 1, Harrison challenged Nong-O Hama for his ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world title.
The bout was stopped quite early as the Thai former world champion smashed Liam Harrison with a leg kick from hell that instantly incapacitated him. Shortly after the loss 'Hitman' went through surgery to start a year-long road to recovery.

Speaking to Sportskeeda MMA on YouTube, Harrison shed light on whether or not he would want a rematch with Nong-O:
“As long as my knee is alright. I’ll first see how my knee goes in this [upcoming fight]. The thing is, I’m actually going to Nong-O’s gym and I’m going to train with him at Superbon Training Camp. When I go to Thailand next I’m actually going to train with him. I believe my knee is absolutely fine now. I’m doing everything I’m doing before. Sparring hard, there’s no problems with it. So there would be no reason for me to match with Nong-O.”

Liam Harrison officially responds to Jonathan Haggerty's call-out
Another interesting topic that's circulating Liam Harrison as of late is his social media tussle with ONE bantamweight two-sport world champion Jonathan Haggerty.
The slight beef between the two began when Harrison said some critical words towards Haggerty and further predicted that 'The General' would lose to surging Scottish star Nico Carrillo if ever they locked horns.
Haggerty responded, and the two exchanged social media barbs, which led to the two-sport king challenging 'Hitman' to a Brit versus Brit showdown.
Harrison, however, was not having it, saying:
“I just don’t know where his head’s at. I won’t be calling someone who’s 38 and has been injured. At least let me fucking get back and get in contention and get some wins under my belt and then start saying ‘Look you’re fucking, you’re back now, you’re healthy, let’s go.”
In the meantime, catch Liam Harrison's return at ONE 167, airing live on US Primetime on June 7, free of charge for existing Prime Video subscribers in North America.
