Once his knee is fully healed, Liam Harrison plans to fight as much as possible.
Suffering a brutal leg-kick knockout at the hands of ONE bantamweight Muay Thai champion Nong-O Hama last summer, ‘Hitman’ has undergone a much-needed knee surgery but is already back in the gym rehabbing for a return which he hopes will come later this year.
In an interview with The MMA Superfan, Harrison detailed his timeline for a return and his plans upon doing so:
“My plans are to get back to full fitness, I wanna get back at the cage or the ring by the end of summertime... I wanna get two or three fights this year. If I can fight back-to-back every Friday now there’s shows at the Lumpinee in ONE Championship that means I can fight every six to eight weeks as long as I don’t get injured so that’s what I wanna do towards the back end of the year.”

Once he is back in the swing of things, Liam Harrison plans to give it everything he’s got for at least two more years:
“And then I want two years just solid, really going for it, get many fights as possible, and yeah just see.”
Liam Harrison believes Jonathan Haggerty will have a rough night against Nong-O Hama
Liam Harrison knows a thing or two about the dangers of facing Muay Thai superstar Nong-O Hama. ‘Hitman’ challenged Nong-O for the ONE bantamweight Muay Thai title in the ONE on Prime Video 1 co-main event. Vying to be the first man to hand Nong-O a loss inside the circle, disaster struck just over the two-minute mark when a leg kick from the Thai superstar sent Harrison crashing to the mat.
Harrison’s fellow Brit Jonathan Haggerty will be the next man to take a crack at Nong-O as the pair will main event ONE Fight Night 9 on Prime Video in April. Sharing his inside of Haggerty’s chances of scoring a win over Nong-O, ‘Hitman’ said:
"[Jonathan] Haggerty vs. Nong-O [Hama]. Look at how big Haggerty is and look at how big Alaverdi [Ramazanov] is. He's twice as big as Haggerty. He's got a similar style like Haggerty, all over the ring and stuff and like that, and look at [how] Nong-O just shut him down dead."
Nong-O Hama vs. Jonathan Haggerty will air live and for free to Amazon Prime Video subscribers in North America on April 21.
