When Paddy Pimblett had ONE Muay Thai fighter Liam Harrison on his podcast, the two agreed on one thing: Muay Thai fights with four-ounce gloves are ridiculous.
The two Brits chopped it up on episode thirty-five of Paddy Pimblett’s podcast Chattin Pony with Paddy the Baddy last year. The two spoke about several Muay Thai-related topics, including Harrison’s participation in ONE Championship’s lightweight Muay Thai division.
This week, Harrison posted a clip from the show with highlights from the exchange. Take a look below:

Pimblett has this to say about cage Muay Thai fight:
“I have to say lad, them four-ounce glove Thai fights are so entertaining, it’s just mad to watch”
Liam Harrison remembered the first time he tried training in smaller gloves, recounting his bewilderment at the intensity of small gloves:
“The first time I put them gloves on, they were like f******** hell, how do they do this s*** in the UFC? and then someone punched me in the face and I was like ‘Nah, that was f****** ridiculous, like wow.”
Liam Harrison, a decorated British Muay Thai fighter and fan favorite in ONE Championship, has got to experience some devastating action in the ONE Circle through four fights. Two wins from first-round knockouts set up a world title fight against reigning featherweight world champion Nong-O Hama last year at ONE on Prime Video 1.
Nong-O retained his belt with a crippling leg kick against Harrison, handing him his first loss in three years.
Facing his fears, Liam Harrison elevated his Muay Thai by training in Thailand
Liam Harrison may seem like a man without fear, but that doesn’t mean that he’s inhuman.
A lifelong lover of the art of eight limbs, 'The Hitman' reached a point in his career recently where he felt that he needed to experience Muay Thai from the center of its beating heart- in Thailand.
In a video posted this month to his Instagram, Harrison spoke about the experience of training in Thailand with locals. Take a look:
“I had to face my fears. Maybe, I’m not as good as I think. I thought there’s only one way to find out. I had to go to Thailand and train with these guys. I just have to fight with them every time. I have to train with them every day. Doing that, that brought me up to the next level. It’s life experience, as well. I’ve got a lot of like crazy stories that other fighters aren’t gonna have, and I wouldn’t change any of it for the world.”
The eight-time Muay Thai world champion currently doesn’t have a fight booked since fighting last August in Singapore for ONE Championship. He was supposed to fight megastar boxer Floyd Mayweather earlier this year, but due to injury had to pull out. He’s hoping to rebook that once he’s fully recovered.
