Muay Thai legend 'Hitman' Liam Harrison was on track to battle furious puncher 'The Iron Man' Rodtang Jitmuangnon. The striker is not the perfect fit due to size and injury, but Harrison is always down for a scrap.
In an interview with The MMA Superfan, Harrison revealed the plan:
"Yeah. I mean, before my injury, before I realized I needed surgery, Chatri asked me if I would fight on that card and it was even mentioned to be a catchweight fight against Rodtang, which would’ve been unbelievable. Well obviously I needed the surgery and that’s that."
No matter the name, Liam Harrison is always interested in a Muay Thai fight. He continued:

"But yeah I’d love to. Like I said, I just want to fight as regularly as possible and if I can get on the big cards that would be amazing."

Liam Harrison and Rodtang's upcoming matches
While 'Hitman' Liam Harrison is forced to be on the shelf due to suffering a knee injury in his ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world title showdown against Nong-O Hama, 'The Iron Man' Rodtang is looking to have a very busy 2023 already.
The ONE flyweight Muay Thai king will soon be fighting to make history as a two-sport world champion. The Thai striker will face Superlek Kiatmoo9 for the ONE flyweight kickboxing world title on March 24, headlining ONE Fight Night 8 on Prime Video.
Afterwards, 'The Iron Man' will look to defend his flyweight Muay Thai throne against Mexico's Edgar Tabares on May 5 at ONE Fight Night 10. All the action on the card will be broadcast live and for free on Prime Video for all Amazon subscribers across North America.
While Harrison does not have any matchups currently booked due to a severe knee injury, he was planning to have a very busy 2023.
In addition to having an exhibition boxing bout against Floyd Mayweather, 'Hitman' was looking to have multiple bouts in ONE Championship, including a catchweight against 'The Iron Man'.
In the above interview, Liam Harrison explained:
"Obviously, I had some massive fights for you guys lined up. I spoke to [ONE Championship CEO] Chatri [Sityodtong], and he said I’m gonna fight Pongsiri [PK.Saenchai] in January. He said if I win that, I can fight Nong-O again for the rematch for the title in March and in May, then he asked me to do a catchweight fight with Rodtang [Jitmuangnon]. So they were some of the biggest fights imaginable for me out there."
