Liam Harrison underwent knee surgery in January, but it appears ‘The Hitman’ is well ahead of schedule when it comes to his timeline for recovery. The British fan-favorite shared an update on social media in the form of a video clip which you can see below with the following caption:

“chipping away at myrehab with my team. Everything way ahead of schedule as expected. Back soon”

Liam Harrison earned his opportunity to challenge ONE bantamweight Muay Thai titleholder Nong-O Hama at ONE on Prime Video 1 in August. He scored back-to-back knockouts, including one of the greatest comebacks in combat sports history. Things couldn't have gone any worse for ‘The Hitman’ as he suffered a brutal first-round knockout following a vicious leg kick from the Thai superstar.

Harrison scheduled a much-needed knee surgery in January. He admitted that he nearly postponed it after getting a call to compete in an exhibition bout with boxing legend Floyd Mayweather at the O2 Arena in London. In the end, Harrison opted to move forward with his surgery, something we could all agree was the right move.

Fans, and Harrison himself, hope that the opportunity to square off with ‘Money’ Mayweather will still be on the table once he is fully healed.

Liam Harrison believes Jonathan Haggerty is in for a tough night against Nong-O

If there’s one thing Liam Harrison knows, it’s how dangerous ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world champion Nong-O Hama is. Speaking on his ‘Kickin' it With Liam Harrison’ podcast, ‘The Hitman’ discussed his thoughts on Nong-O’s next scheduled title defense in April against fellow Brit Jonathan Haggerty:

"[Jonathan] Haggerty vs. Nong-O [Hama]. Look at how big Haggerty is and look at how big Alaverdi [Ramazanov] is. He's twice as big as Haggerty. He's got a similar style like Haggerty, all over the ring and stuff and like that, and look at [how] Nong-O just shut him down dead."

He continued, saying:

"He [Nong-O] didn't give him [Ramazanov] no room. His movement were different. He cut him off. He pinned him on the ropes and he just went to town with him. There were body shots, heavy kicks, elbows. He blasted him with everything."

After earning three straight wins against Taiki Naito, Mongkolpetch Petchyindee, and Vladimir Kuzmin, Haggerty will get his first shot at ONE bantamweight gold in the ONE Fight Night 9 main event on April 21st.
