ONE bantamweight Muay Thai wrecking ball Liam Harrison might have a bright future as a trainer after he decides to hang up the gloves. This is evident in the impressive videos of the classes he conducts at his home gym in Leeds, England. 'The Hitman' shows subtle tricks and techniques that prove that he is one of the most cerebral brawlers in Muay Thai history.

In a recent video posted on his Instagram account, Liam Harrison is seen teaching a slick way to masterfully land a left switch-kick to the body.

Muay Thai has been around for thousands of years and has seen many evolutions in techniques devised by its many legends and champions. At this point, it's hard to see any new innovation being done in the Art of Eight Limbs. Pretty much all the mechanics and theories have been invented and perfected over the years.

Still, modern-day masters like Liam Harrison, a farang (non-Thai fighter), valiantly try to push the envelope and revitalize age-old techniques. His combination of an effective set-up and a well-timed delay makes the game just as cerebral as it is physical. Bravo to the fighting Brit of ONE Championship Muay Thai.

Liam Harrison shuts down Floyd Mayweaher fight rumors, focuses on knee surgery instead

Liam Harrison recently had the entire combat sports world buzzing after he was officially linked to an exhibition bout with retired boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr. The bout was supposed to take place in the UK on February 25.

Fans were excited but it wasn't meant to be as 'The Hitman' took to social media to deliver a disappointing development to the story:

"Many of you will have seen the announcement this morning about my fight against Floyd Mayweather... Devastatingly, my knee just won’t allow it. Discussions about the fight started a few days ago with the Mayweather team and I honestly thought I would be ok in a boxing fight, even with needing surgery on my knee."

Harrison added:

"I upped my training as soon as discussions started and had some hard sparring and pads but almost immediately my knee had ballooned up and I can’t walk. Hitting pads is fine but the movement and agility needed to spar and especially fight just isn’t possible."

The post went on for longer but in the end, the fighting Brit opted to focus on repairing and rehabilitating his injured knee. However, Harrison is still hopeful that the fight can happen in the future.
