ONE bantamweight Muay Thai fighter Liam Harrison has created a reputation for being one of the most exciting brawlers in the sport today. His balls-to-the-wall berzerker style almost always produces highlights in every fight. What most fail to realize, however, is that he is a tactical genius.
It may be a bit subtle, but 'The Hitman' is a master tactician in Muay Thai. If you check out his daily instructional content on his Instagram page, you'll know what we're talking about.
In one of his most recent videos, Harrison demonstrates how to counter a teep kick with a devastating left-hook-low-kick combination:

With his sizable experience in the sport, Harrison has a near-academic understanding of body mechanics and how it relates to combat. He has mastered the concepts of setting up attacks from openings most fighters wouldn't see. The subtle pull after catching the front click allows for a massive window to land two powerful blows.
It's quite admirable how Harrison is willing to impart his trade secrets to fans and practitioners online. Most people would assume that a master would share his secret techniques only when he's already out of the game.
The 37-year-old, however, is confident enough to do so whilst still active, risking the idea that fellow fighters might use it against him in the ring. Perhaps 'The Hitman' is just that friendly.
Speaking of friendly, Harrison was recently spotted in Denver, Colorado on May 5 to promote ONE Fight Night 10: Johnson vs. Moraes III. Alongside fellow ONE athletes Danielle Kelly and ONE strawweight world champion Jarred Brooks, Harrison spent quality time with the fans, answered questions from the media, and, of course, watched the awesome fights.
Speaking to ONE Championship, Harrison described the experience:
“I loved being out there and being a part of it, doing all the media stuff. It was nice, even though I wasn’t fighting myself, to still be around the show and just be a part of it all, especially for the first one in the U.S.”
Liam Harrison is currently on the bench due to injury but is expected to make his return in ONE Championship later this year. ONE Fight Night 10 replays are available for free to all Prime Video subscribers in North America.
