Liam Harrison thinks Jonathan Haggerty should pick on someone his own age.
This September, both Harrison and Haggerty will return to the Circle when ONE Championship makes its highly anticipated return to the United States for ONE 168 in The Mile High City—Denver, Colorado. While it will be Haggerty's second appearance of 2024, it will be Harrison's first time competing in more than two years.
The 38-year-old Harrison last fought at ONE on Prime Video 1 in August 2022, suffering a horrifying knee injury against then-ONE world champion Nong-O Hama.
In his comeback fight, the 'Hitman' will square off with Thai icon Seksan Or Kwanmuang inside Ball Arena.

For years, fans have been chomping at the bit to see the two UK superstars square off on martial arts' biggest global stage. However, the 'Hitman' believes Haggerty should stick to fighters his own age rather than trying to take out a bunch of old-timers.
"He should just fight guys in their prime if the older guys are a lot like me," Harrison told Sky Sports MMA Club. "But I get what he’s doing. The thing is, if he beat me up at 38 by the time that fight happens I’ll be 39 because we both fight in September, I’d be 39. What he’s done is he beat a 39-year-old Harrison."
Jonathan Haggerty has his hands full before thinking about a fight with Liam Harrison
Jonathan Haggerty has never shied away from a potential scrap with Liam Harrison, but 'The General' already has his hands full at ONE 168.
On Friday, September 6, the two-sport ONE world champion will put his ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world title on the line when he meets 'The Kicking Machine' and current ONE flyweight kickboxing champion Superlek.
The winner between Haggerty and Superlek will likely find themselves tasked with taking out rising Scottish star Nico Carrillo who just bagged his fourth-straight KO inside the Circle against Saemapetch Fairtex at ONE Fight Night 23.
But as they say in combat sports, anything can happen.
