British striker Liam Nolan shares a bond with compatriot and ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world champion Jonathan Haggerty. He said it was forged through years of training together and helping each other’s game.
Both fighters are training under Knowlesy Academy in south London under the guidance of head coach Christian Knowles, a former Muay Thai world champion.
In a recent interview with ONE Championship, ‘Lethal’ shared that he and ‘The General’ started out as mere teammates but in time they have become truly good friends and are proud of what each has achieved in their respective careers:
“Our friendship just came from spending so many hours in the gym everyday training together. You build a real bond with someone through that. We’ve become good friends over the years.”

Liam Nolan returns to action on November 3 at ONE Fight Night 16 on Prime Video in Bangkok, which Jonathan Haggerty is headlining. The former will take on Thai Sinsamut Klinmee in a rematch after their first encounter in July last year.
26-year-old Liam Nolan was knocked out by Sinsamut in the second round of their clash. But he bounced back in his very next fight four months later, outgunning American Eddie Abasolo to earn a unanimous decision victory.
In the rematch, Liam Nolan is out to exact payback while also padding his push for a possible shot at the world title currently held by Regian Eersel at some point in the future.
Meanwhile, in the headlining fight of ONE Fight Night 16, Jonathan Haggerty seeks to become a double ONE world champion as he vies for the vacant bantamweight kickboxing gold. He is going up against the division’s reigning mixed martial arts king Fabricio Andrade in an all-champion title clash.
ONE Fight Night 16 will take place at the Lumpinee Boxing Stadium and will air live on US primetime free of charge for existing Prime Video subscribers in North America.
