Regian Eersel is sure to leave an incredible legacy when he decides to hang up the gloves and step away from competition. It's never an easy call for a fighter to make after dedicating their lives to the pursuit of success and glory in martial arts.

This was the call that was recently made by Muay Thai icon Liam Harrison.

'Hitman' laid his gloves in the middle of the cage following his loss to Seksan Or Kwanmuang at ONE 168 in September. Harrison had been out of action for a long time but his injuries weren't going to stop him from bowing out on his own terms.

The Brit did just that, but now it is time for him to take the next steps in his career. Anyone who follows Harrison on social media knows that he is a genius at sharing his experience and breaking down techniques.

With that in mind, Eersel recently spoke in an interview with MMA UK about how one of the legends of the game could transition effectively into the role of a coach:

"Yes. Who knows? I think so. I think so. Yes, he will return as a coach, of course, a trainer, a coach."

Regian Eersel is far from done right now

Regian Eersel may have accomplished a lot in his career, but he's still hungry for more. At ONE Fight Night 25, 'The Immortal' looks to prove that he is still at the top of the mountain by getting revenge over the last man to beat him.

Alexis Nicolas shocked the striking world at ONE Fight Night 21 by claiming the ONE lightweight kickboxing world championship. Now, they will meet in a rematch at Lumpinee Stadium on October 4, when Eersel will look to add to his legacy by reclaiming the belt.

ONE Fight Night 25 will air live in US primetime free of charge for Prime Video subscribers in North America.
