Reigning two-sport ONE bantamweight world champion Jonathan Haggerty is currently one of the most savage fighters in the world today, and his technical skills are a big part of his success.
Recently, ONE Championship highlighted this cerebral approach by Haggerty in an Instagram video when 'The General' dropped former bantamweight Muay Thai king Nong-O Hama during their showdown in April 2023 at ONE Fight Night 9/
The world's largest martial arts organization captioned the post with:
""The General" sends 'em to the canvas 👇 Will Jonathan Haggerty be able to defend the bantamweight Muay Thai throne against Superlek on September 6 at ONE 168: Denver? @jhaggerty"

In the video, the British combat sports superstar set up a beautiful trap for the Thai icon: first, he faked a jab and followed it up with a punch to the body. Then, he went for a two-piece combination using the jab and a right cross that landed on Nong-O's chin, which instantly dropped him.
It was one of the knockdowns he scored against Nong-O before eventually securing the first-round knockout victory. This incredible performance and top-tier technical finesse have garnered positive praise from fans, especially from users @gary_thach, @chanc3th3candyrapp3r, @clothesmonochrome, @yann.lynx, and @daleyjtharrison, who commented:
"Watching haggerty is like watching art. The dude is so clean with his technique."
"The greatest technical fighter of all time"
"Bro is so clean"
"One of the best Nak Muay in history 💪😎🙏"
"Stunning work 👏"
Jonathan Haggerty wants to extend reign as undisputed ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world champion at ONE 168: Denver
Following that massive victory over Nong-O, Haggerty added two more wins to his record by beating Fabricio Andrade and Felipe Lobo in his next two matches en route to becoming a two-sport world champion.
But the Keddles Gym, Knowlesy Academy, and Team Underground affiliate athlete is not satisfied, as he now aims to collect his second successful world title defense and his seventh straight win against ONE flyweight kickboxing world champion Superlek Kiatmoo9 in their upcoming megafight on Sept. 6 at ONE 168: Denver inside the Ball Arena in Colorado.
ONE 168: Denver will air live from the Ball Arena at U.S. primetime on Sept. 6. Tickets for the event are now available on sale on Ticketmaster.
