Team Lakay’s Lito Adiwang believes Superlek Kiatmoo9 has the tools and the talent to hand Rodtang Jitmuangnon a loss inside the circle next Friday night.
‘The Kicking Machine’ will defend his newly won ONE flyweight kickboxing world championship against ‘The Iron Man’ in a long-awaited superfight between the two Thai warriors.
In a Sportskeeda MMA exclusive interview, Adiwang shared his thoughts on the highly anticipated main event clash and what Superlek needs to do to score what many would consider to be an upset:
“Superlek has the tools to also beat Rodtang here, especially if he uses his distance wisely... His footwork will also play a big factor in this fight because this match is in kickboxing so that will play a very big role in how he approaches the fight.”

Most fans assumed that they would see the two stars square off in the art of eight limbs, especially after the two were on opposite sides of the bracket during ONE’s Flyweight Muay Thai World Grand Prix tournament last year. Unfortunately, Rodtang was forced to withdraw from the tournament after the opening round.
If 'The Kicking Machine' succeeds in scoring a win over ‘The Iron Man’ at ONE Fight Night 8, chances are he will earn himself an opportunity to challenge Rodtang for his ONE flyweight Muay Thai title in the future.
Superlek is focusing on one fight at a time
After capturing the ONE flyweight kickboxing world championship in his last outing against Daniel Puertas, Superlek Kiatmoo9 has perhaps the most important fight of his combat sports career thus far on March 24. Not only will ‘The Kicking Machine’ attempt to defend his title against one of the most formidable strikers in all of professional fighting, but he’ll be looking at an opportunity to become a two-sport ONE world champion.
However, the Thai star is not one to get ahead of himself. With the stakes higher than ever, ‘The Kicking Machine’ is keeping his eyes on the task at hand and refuses to count his chickens before they hatch:
" I want to focus, one at a time, one fight at a time. I will go back, plan, and train. I don't want to think ahead on what's not happened yet.”
