Filipino rising star Lito Adiwang weighed in on the odds of Superlek knocking out Rodtang in their kickboxing showdown next Friday.
The long-awaited main event between two of the greatest flyweight strikers in the world, goes down on Friday, March 24, at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. As the day approaches, Lito Adiwang, a former two-time Philippine Wushu champion, has made his pick for the winner of the kickboxing extravaganza.
Speaking exclusively to Sportskeeda, here’s what Adiwang predicted:
“Rodtang can take the power shots, which is the opposite of the divisional king. Checking Superlek’s previous fights with Ilias [Ennahachi], he gets a bit groggy when he gets hit. He feels those shots. If you have to exchange with Rodtang, it’s like a 70/30 ratio. 70 for Rodtang, and 30 for Superlek. That’s the chance of knocking Rodtang out.”

‘The Iron Man’ Rodtang Jitmuangnon will indeed be a very difficult man to knock out. The Thai sensation has 270 wins overall, including a total of four world title fight victories in the last three years. The latest beatdown he delivered was against ONE strawweight Muay Thai world champion Joseph Lasiri at ONE on Prime Video 4. Although Lasiri went the distance with him, he was outclassed in every way.
Meanwhile, the only person who has the potential to beat Rodtang would be Superlek Kiatmoo9. Statistically, the divisional king and Rodtang are nearly equal in terms of numbers. He’s also highly technical, fast, and strong. Fans will be on the edge of their seats with this one, as the ONE flyweight kickboxing world champion fights to keep his belt at ONE Fight Night 8 on Prime Video.
Superlek says he’s got one advantage over his fellow Thai countryman, Rodtang
Superlek Kiatmoo9 expects nothing but an all-out war between himself and his fellow Thai countryma, Rodtang Jitmuangnon.
The Thai superstar has been under the spotlight many times before and is therefore unfettered by what the living legend brings to the table. Drawing upon his Lumpinee experience, the kickboxing champion knows he has what it takes to be the first man to beat Rodtang.
Although ‘The Iron Man’ is known for his brute strength and power, none of that will matter when he squares off with the champion.
In the same interview, the Pattaya native said:
“Rodtang may hit hard, but he is slower than me. This should be my advantage.”
ONE Fight Night 8 on Prime Video will be broadcast live and for free in North America via Prime Video.
