Strawweight standout Lito Adiwang believes two-sport king Jonathan Haggerty will be able to fend off Superlek's best weapons.
Six years removed from their first meeting in the United Kingdom, Haggerty and 'The Kicking Machine' will meet again on martial arts' biggest global stage. This time, the two ONE world champions will headline one of the most anticipated events of the year as the promotion heads back to The Mile High City for ONE 168: Denver.
Haggerty, who holds both the ONE bantamweight Muay Thai and kickboxing world titles, will put the former on the line against Superlek, the promotion's reigning kickboxing champion of the flyweight division.

Ready to take in all the action at ONE 168: Denver, Lito Adiwang recently shared what he believes will be Jonathan Haggerty's biggest key to victory against one of the most dynamic strikers in all of combat sports. Adiwang told Tempo:
“Superlek is called the kicking machine for a reason, and he got good elbows. But I see Haggerty [solving] that problem by blocking the kicks and countering with his power punches.”
He added:
“That will be his key to victory in this fight. Shutting down Superlek’s kick and countering with his power punches.”
Jonathan Haggerty and Superlek go into ONE 168: Denver clash with a wave of momentum
ONE 168: Denver will be Haggerty's second time defending the bantamweight Muay Thai belt in 2024—his first coming against Felipe Lobo at ONE Fight Night 19 in February.
On that night, 'The General' scored a spectacular come-from-behind knockout against the 'Demolition Man' to retain his title and further establish himself as one of the best pound-for-pound strikers in the world.
Meanwhile, Superlek is coming off a couple of big wins this year, the first coming against Japanese kickboxing legend Takeru Segawa at ONE 165 in Tokyo. 'The Kicking Machine' pushed Takeru through five rounds to successfully defend his flyweight kickboxing crown and spoil the long-awaited debut of 'The Natural Born Crusher' in enemy territory.
Since then, Superlek has added a dominant decision victory over Kongthoranee Sor Sommai in June.
