Lito Adiwang gave his honest opinion about the over-hyped strawweight brawl between Bokang Masunyane and Mansur Malachiev. The Filipino standout is one of those guys who doesn't like to speak ill of anyone. But if he sees something that needs to be critiqued, he'll give a candid opinion.
He wasn't impressed by the fight between two of the division's top athletes at ONE Fight Night 25. South Africa's Masunyane, for instance, didn't look his best against his Russian opposition when they locked horns on the Lumpinee stage.
Even Malachiev, a prominent wrestler from Dagestan, gave a somewhat lackluster performance to obtain the win. His response demonstrates that both performances didn't live up to Adiwang's expectations.
Speaking exclusively to Sportskeeda MMA, 'Thunder Kid' said:

"I watched that fight intently. My honest assessment is that I felt that both of them underperformed. Especially Bokang, I think, after all the hype. His performance wasn't all that great. I saw that he has a lot of holes in his game."
Bokang Masunyane dropped to No.3 in the rankings after losing to Malachiev by decision. But what does this mean for Adiwang? Although he's not officially ranked in the top five, he's got a three-fight run and a dominant victory over former world title challenger Danial Williams, to delay Malachiev's bid for the world title potentially.
Lito Adiwang backs Danny Kingad for the win against former dominant ONE flyweight world champion Adriano Moraes
Lito Adiwang also shared his opinion about Danny Kingad's hotly anticipated rematch against Adriano Moraes on November 8 at ONE 169.
With Demetrious Johnson's retirement announcement, the flyweight division has a vacant throne. Danny Kingad, for one, is excited about the opportunity to fight for the title if he defeats his long-time foe.
Lito Adiwang also believes that his fellow countryman will be successful in this endeavor. He told Sportskeeda MMA:
"For me, I think the one who is fresh off a loss has more fire to get the win back."
