Lito Adiwang feels Stamp Fairtex's game plan may be to survive first round against Anissa Meksen

ONE veteran Lito Adiwang recently shared his opinion on Stamp Fairtex's game plan heading into her super-fight custom rules match with Anissa Meksen.

Stamp and Meksen are slated to take part in the second-ever mixed-rules bout under ONE Championship's banner at ONE Fight Night 6 on Prime Video.

Fans are anxiously waiting to see how Stamp fairs in the opening round on the feet against the former Glory kickboxing champ. Lito Adiwang shared his thoughts on the matter in an interview with The MMA Superfan, saying:

"In the striking department, I think that she’ll definitely play it safe. Play safe, then try to finish Anissa in the MMA round."

If Stamp is able to survive the first round, she'll have a distinct advantage in the grappling department once the rules switch to MMA.

Lito Adiwang details mental hurdles following ACL tear

Unfortunately, the 29-year-old strawweight suffered a torn ACL in his previous bout against Jeremy Miado. The injury has sidelined Lito Adiwang for several months as he continues on his road to recovery.

Not only has it been a tough journey back to full health in a physical sense, but it's been mentally draining for the Team Lakay affiliate as well. He told The MMA Superfan:

“Actually, I did have some mental fear in the first few weeks. It’s hard to overcome this type of injury, especially on the mental side of things. I have never experienced anything like this before. Simple things like sitting down and standing up, tying my shoelaces, were a struggle.”

'Thunder Kid' added, saying:

“But when the doctor told me that they completely fixed my knee and that it’s now stronger than it was before, it gave me more confidence, and I was able to overcome the fear inside of me.”

Fans should take solace in knowing that Adiwang's knee is healing to the furthest degree. It appears as though the strawweight will be back in the circle at some point in 2023.
