Fan favorite 'Thunder Kid' Lito Adiwang recently sat down to discuss his training partner 'The Passion' Joshua Pacio losing his crown. Just this past month, Pacio lost his ONE strawweight world title to US-born wrestler 'The Monkey God' Jarred Brooks.
While speaking to The MMA Superfan, the Filipino-born Adiwang believes Pacio should have worked for more action during the five-round bout. Adiwang explained:
"Looking back, I think Joshua should’ve done more. He was supposed to be more active, more aggressive, and try to chase Jarred, try to finish Jarred because Jarred was out-scoring him in the grappling department."
Pacio was doing well in scrambling situations but was hesitant on the feet. 'Thunder Kid' describes this as a mistake. He said:

"Jarred was trying to control and Jarred got a better time of control on the ground so I think Joshua should’ve done more in the striking department when they were standing up and just defending there. He should’ve defended and attacked."
Lito Adiwang and Joshua Pacio, both former opponents of Brooks, will be working alongside one another at Team Lakay in preparation for a rematch to reclaim the throne. Adiwang continued:
"But I know when the rematch comes we have to work on that and we’ll definitely get that belt back."

Lito Adiwang also discusses Stamp Fairtex
Filipino-born fighter Lito Adiwang is an exciting fan-favorite fighter in the ONE circle. Thus far in ONE Championship, he has put together a record of 7-3. His only losses were against current world champion Jarred Brooks, and top-ranked fighters Jeremy Miado and Hiroba Minowa.
But upcoming soon, Stamp Fairtex will be back in the ONE circle. MMA superstar Stamp will face decorated striking talent Anissa Meksen in a mixed-rules super fight. This ONE Fight Night 6 on Prime Video match will alternate MMA and Muay Thai rules in each round.
Filipino athlete Adiwang, in the same interview, commented on the January 13 fight and said:
“The difference here is, I’d give an edge to Stamp because she got tested in an MMA match, and Muay Thai match, and a kickboxing match. That’s her edge, how she can play the game."
ONE Fight Night 6 is live and free for North American fans with Prime Video.
