ONE strawweight MMA contender Lito Adiwang has weighed in with his thoughts on the upcoming main event clash between Superlek Kiatmoo9 and Rodtang Jitmuangnon.
On March 24, the reigning flyweight kickboxing world champion will make his first world title defense as he tries to stop Rodtang from becoming a two-sport champ.
The matchup is simply as good as it gets, having been set-up by the events of ONE Fight Night 6. On the same night that 'The Kicking Machine' won the vacant title, Rodtang competed in a kickboxing match, winning a unanimous decision over China’s Jiduo Yibu.
The fight presents a great clash of styles. The world champion isn’t known as ‘The Kicking Machine’ for no reason and Rodtang Jitmuangnon backs up his nickname of ‘The Iron Man’ each and every time he steps inside the circle.

In an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda MMA, Lito Adiwang spoke about matchup and how he believes that fans might be overlooking the skills that the defending world champion brings to the table.
He says:
“I think he might be overlooked. I think fans tend to overlook Superlek because he’s a technical fighter, compared to Rodtang’s ultra-entertaining style. But I think we shouldn’t do that to Superlek.”
Superlek wary of Rodtang’s variety of "dangerous weapons"
Superlek Kiatmoo9 knows that he’s in for a fight at ONE Fight Night 8 on March 24.
For the first world title defense of his flyweight kickboxing crown, ‘The Kicking Machine’ will face-off against one of the most ferocious competitors on the entire roster, flyweight Muay Thai world champ Rodtang Jitmuangnon.
Superlek is well aware of the dangers that Rodtang presents. With his relentless style, ‘The Iron Man’ is able to bully his opponents and force them to either engage with him and face the consequences or run.
In an interview with ONE Championship, he spoke about Rodtang’s biggest strengths:
“Muay Thai has a variety of dangerous weapons. This was the part that kept him from losing. Rodtang is aggressive. He keeps throwing weapons, and he can absorb his opponent’s attacks.”
‘The Kicking Machine’ claimed the vacant ONE flyweight kickboxing gold back at ONE Fight Night 6 in January with a unanimous decision win over Spain’s Daniel Puertas.
On March 24, he will try to deny Rodtang Jitmuangnon the chance of becoming a two-sport world champion in what is sure to be an electric main event between two of the top strikers in ONE Championship.
ONE Fight Night 8 is live from the Singapore Indoor Stadium. For North American viewers, the entire event will air live and free via Prime Video.
