Perennial ONE Championship strawweight MMA contender and ex-Team Lakay standout 'Thunder Kid' Lito Adiwang of the Philippines doesn't believe Russian star Mansur Malachiev will give 'The Monkey God' Jarred Brooks any problems whatsoever.
Following Malachiev's unanimous decision victory over South Africa's 'Little Giant' Bokang Masunyane earlier this month, fans have begun to clamor for a showdown between the Russian star and the brash American star.
Speaking to Sportskeeda MMA in an exclusive interview, Adiwang explained why he doesn't think Malachiev will be able to beat Brooks.

'Thunder Kid' said:
"He [Brooks] always gets what he wants, because he works on that and trains well to get into that mindset. But that’s why you have to break it by dictating the action."
Adiwang continued:
"You have to anticipate his moves and keep up so that when he transitions to his next move, you’re already there just to break his rhythm. In the wrestling that we’re studying now, once you break the rhythm, you will be the one who dictates the pace. It’s difficult to break really, but that’s the key to controlling him. But if he can’t control him, he will overwhelm and control you."
Adiwang fought Brooks in November 2021, when he welcomed the now ONE interim strawweight MMA world champion to the world's largest martial arts organization.
'Thunder Kid' wants nothing more than a rematch with 'The Monkey God' in due time.

"For me, I'd really like to fight Jarred again. I have a different kind of fire in fighting him."
