Lito Adiwang has plenty of experience against ONE Fight Night 23's Jeremy Miado and Hiroba Minowa. During his ONE Championship tenure, Adiwang has established a 1-1 record against Miado, with 'Thunder Kid' losing by second-round knockout in March 2022 and winning by unanimous decision in November 2023.
Meanwhile, Miado also fought Minowa in November 2020 at ONE: Inside The Matrix III. The ONE strawweight MMA fighters battled for three rounds, with Minowa emerging victorious by split decision.
Jeremy Miado plans to showcase grappling improvements against Hiroba Minowa
Between November 2019 and October 2022, Jeremy Miado established a four-fight win streak, all by KO/TKO. Unfortunately for him, he's suffered a significant setback in his fighting career by enduring consecutive losses against Mansur Malachiev, Lito Adiwang, and Keito Yamakita.
The recurring theme for Miado's last three fights is his opponents slowing him down with their grappling skills. At ONE Fight Night 23, 'The Jaguar' wants to showcase his grappling improvements and prove he's evolved into a more well-rounded fighter in the strawweight MMA division.
As for Minowa, he's suffered three consecutive decision losses against Jarred Brooks, Bokang Masunyane, and Gustavo Balart (split decision). The 25-year-old enters Friday's event as the number four-ranked fighter at strawweight.
The legendary Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand will host ONE Fight Night 23 later this week. The eleven-fight event can be seen live and for free by North American and Canadian viewers with an active Prime Video subscription.
