Filipino strawweight sensation and ex-Team Lakay member 'Thunder Kid' Lito Adiwang watched closely as former flyweight Muay Thai king 'The Iron Man' Rodtang Jitmuangnon defeated English rival Jacob Smith last month.
Rodtang scored a unanimous decision victory over Smith at ONE 169: Malykhin vs. Reug Reug on Prime Video, turning in yet another dominant performance. However, the Thai star did lose his belt on the scales prior to the fight, so the win was tarnished quite a bit.
Adiwang says Rodtang appeared not to have taken the fight as seriously as he does other fights. If he did, 'Thunder Kid' believes Rodtang would have gotten Smith out of there much earlier.
Speaking to Sportskeeda MMA in an exclusive interview, Adiwang shared his thoughts on Rodtang's performance.

'Thunder Kid' said:
"I think so. If he were more serious and he did what he did before in countering every opponent’s miss with a heavy shot, then I think he would have knocked out Jacob Smith. But he was a bit too playful, and Jacob was really tough. I think he got hit by one or two elbows and he just took it like a champ. I was really impressed by his toughness, I gotta give him that."
