ONE strawweight contender Lito Adiwang has been weighing in with his thoughts about the upcoming main event of ONE Fight Night 8 on March 24 between Superlek and Rodtang.

Live from the Singapore Indoor Stadium, ONE flyweight kickboxing world champion Superlek Kiatmoo9 will be looking to defend his title for the very first time.

After defeating Spain’s Daniel Puertas at ONE Fight Night 6 in January, the newly crowned champ had a huge fight set up on the horizon.

Competing and winning on the same night, ONE’s dominant flyweight Muay Thai world champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon has got his sights set on becoming a two-sport world champ.

Speaking exclusively to Sportskeeda MMA ahead of the clash of world champions, Lito Adiwang said that the challenger’s clear advantage in this fight is his ability to land with a devastating impact:

“Power, that’s the No.1 advantage of Rodtang’s here in this fight. He also combines power with forward pressure. Almost all of Rodtang’s opponents visibly struggled because of that because Rodtang’s too strong and constantly moves forward. Not only will he keep pushing on, but he also won’t stop attacking you once you get damaged. So, I think that’s Rodtang’s advantage here.”

Fans react to Rodtang Jitmuangnon playing mind games on Jiduo Yibu

ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon is known for his dominant run under the ONE banner that has become defined by his showboating.

At ONE Fight Night 6 in January, ‘The Iron Man’ pushed for the opportunity to become a two-sport titleholder by defeating China’s Jiduo Yibu in a kickboxing world contest.

Originally scheduled to face Daniel Puertas, Rodtang’s opponent was called up into the main event for a shot at the vacant world championship after it was vacated by Ilias Ennahachi.

‘The Iron Man’ made easy work of his late-notice replacement opponent, throwing in some signature showboating to cap off the performance.

ONE Championship recently shared a clip of Rodtang’s taunting, promoting a response from the fans in the comments below the post:

“Not often Rodtang shows mercy. Just toying with him.”

With his win over Yibu, the flyweight Muay Thai champ solidified his status as a legitimate threat to the kickboxing crown, currently held by Superlek Kiatmoo9. On March 24, the two elite Thai strikers will meet in the main event of ONE Fight Night 8.

The entire event is set to air live and for free for North American viewers via Prime Video.
