Jarred Brooks (left) will most likely go to grappling duel with Gustavo Balart (right), says Filipino star Lito Adiwang.

Jarred Brooks is not only just a rival for Filipino star Lito Adiwang.

Ahead of Brooks' upcoming interim title fight against Cuban Olympian Gustavo Balart at ONE Fight Night 24 on Aug. 2, Adiwang praised his former foe and sees that 'The Monkey God' will take another victory.

Known as a dangerous pure wrestler in mixed martial arts, Brooks also has a dynamic striking skills that brought him to the top. And those were the reasons why Adiwang thought his former tormentor will be able to overcome Balart's pressure.

Adiwang shared his prediction on how Brooks will take on this fight with Balart when speaking with Sportskeeda MMA in a recent interview.

He said:

"For me, I see this first as a submission win for Jarred. Jarred will definitely try to hunt a submission here. If he can’t get a rear-naked choke, then he’ll try for an arm-triangle choke."

Adding that prediction with Brooks' striking arsenal, this main event tilt should be a barnburner not to be missed.

Gustavo Balart confident with his ground game against Jarred Brooks

On the other end, Gustavo Balart will be coming in hot to tackle the former ONE strawweight MMA world champion Jarred Brooks in their main event showdown at ONE Fight Night 24.

It is not surprising that Balart carries such confidence, because the former Olympic wrestler brings one of the most decorated wrestling pedigrees ever to be seen in ONE Championship and powerful strikes to add into his arsenal.

With that, he can easily create a major upset, especially after revealing to ONE Championship that he will not be taken down into the mat when they both step into the ring inside the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

He said:

"I am going to defend myself. I am not going to let him take me down. No way. I will counterattack."

ONE Fight Night 24 will air live in U.S. primetime on Aug. 2, free of charge for those with active Amazon Prime Video subscription in the United States and Canada.
