UFC 5 additions and the respective TUF journies of each

UFC 5 adding in these three new options shows love to those who spent the mid-2000s bearing witness to the fitness of the modern warrior.

Looking back at their journies to tournament glory, 'Nightmare' Diego Sanchez would become a champion on 'TUF 1' when he halted Kenny Florian with a torrent of punches in the opening round of their April 2005 bout.

Griffin would become season one champion for the light heavyweights on that same TUF Finale April card in a historic outing against Stephan Bonnar. In a fight that was inducted into the hall of fame thereafter and in many ways saved the promotion, Forrest Griffin would win by way of a unanimous decision and earn a contract with the promotion along with Bonnar.

For the sophomore season of 'The Ultimate Fighter', Evans would end up winning the tournament title as a heavyweight despite carving out the majority of his subsequent legacy as a light heavyweight. Rashad Evans defeated the hulking Brad Imes by way of a split decision in November 2005 to earn his contract with the promotion.
