The newest Brazilian world champion shared the circle twice with John Lineker, getting the best of him in their recent rematch. Andrade took to Instagram in order to thank 'Hands of Stone' for giving him the toughest fight of his life.
He penned:
"Besides all the talk coming for the fight, @johnlinekermma gave me the toughest fight of my life in my also first rematch, he came to fight and I knew he would that’s why I was ready to go 10 rounds like that to be able to take him out of there. @johnlinekermma thank you for the fight it was a honor to fight the guy I have been watching since I was 14."
Andrade is now 6-0 with one no contest under ONE's banner. He has scored stoppage victories over Mark Abelardo, Li Kai Wen, Jeremy Pacatiw, Kwon Won Il, and now, John Lineker.
While the division’s top five offers a couple of intriguing matchups, like a rematch over the only man he hasn’t finished in ONE Championship, Shoko Sato, or a showdown with former longtime world champion Bibiano Fernandes, Andrade appears to be set on allowing No.3-ranked Stephen Loman to challenge him next.
'The Sniper' is a former champion in his previous promotion and is undefeated since 2016, including his current run of 3-0 in ONE Championship. Fabricio Andrade called out the Filipino contender after his victory at ONE Fight Night 7. Expect the pair's paths to cross in the near future.
