28-year-old featherweight Muay Thai standout 'The Chef' Luke Lessei has quickly come into his own in the world's largest martial arts organization after his latest victory in ONE Championship.
Lessei's most recent performance was his best yet.
'The Chef' needed only two minutes to dispatch Canadian foe Cody Jerome at ONE Fight Night 27 on Prime Video last weekend, claiming victory via technical knockout in the very first round.
As good as he's looked since joining the promotion in 2023, Lessei was quick to give props to his father for training him and turning him into a fighter since he was a kid.

The Dubuque Martial Arts Group representative told the media at the official ONE Fight Night 27 post-fight interview:
"Yeah, of course. I mean, my fundamentals all came from 20 years from my father. Like the fighter I am today is because he got me into this when I was four years old, and he trained me by himself for the last 20 years, putting in a lot of time."

Luke Lessei says he's getting used to small-gloved Muay Thai: "I'm able to adapt"
ONE Championship hosts the most exciting Muay Thai fights in the world today, because of its adoption of the use of MMA gloves in 'the art of eight limbs'.
'The Chef' Luke Lessei admits that it took some getting used to, but now he's more comfortable with it, and he's much more dangerous.
He told ONE:
"Oh yeah. I mean, this was only my fourth fight in small gloves, so learning the range, not standing there and banging, yeah, just finding all the different holes. I think, with my style, I'm able to adapt, really, to any fighter, and the way I can pinpoint accuracy. I think it's only the beginning to see the types of shots that I'll be landing."
