28-year-old featherweight Muay Thai standout 'The Chef' Luke Lessei of the United States believes he has finally figured out the weakest link in his game -- his footwork.
Lessei entered the ONE Championship ring last weekend at ONE Fight Night 27 on Prime Video and looked absolutely phenomenal.
The Dubuque Martial Arts Group representative made quick work of Canada's Cody Jerome, finishing his opponent just two minutes into the very first round to take home a technical knockout victory and a $50,000 performance bonus from ONE Championship CEO Chatri Sityodtong.
Speaking to the media backstage at the event, Lessei talked about his footwork and movement being the key to victory over Jerome.

'The Chef' said:
"The number one thing I changed is just the movement, because coming up, I was a traditional Muay Thai fighter. I like to have a nice, classic Thai stance, like one of my favorite fighters warming up was Dieselnoi. So kind of like standing there in a good stance, controlling the center of the ring, because I was never one to want to look like I'm running away."
ONE Fight Night 27: Tang vs. Abdullaev on Prime Video was broadcast live from the historic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, last Saturday, January 11. Fans in the United States and Canada can catch all the action via replay on-demand on Amazon Prime Video.
