Former ONE middleweight and light heavyweight MMA world champion Aung La N Sang is not only preparing for his upcoming middleweight showdown with Shamil Erdogan on Sept. 6 at ONE 168: Denver, but he is also making that his lungs are ready for the altitude in Colorado.

During his recent interview with Nick Atkin's ONE Championship News on YouTube, Aung La was asked if his lungs are ready for the match against the undefeated Turkish, and he gamely said:

"Yep, the lungs are ready to go. Three-round war. We're ready for it."

'The Burmese Python' is looking to extend his current three-fight win streak and add Erdogan to his long list of victims under the world's largest martial arts organization.

Furthermore, this bout marks his return after over a year of hiatus, and he plans to use the Kremost Fight Club representative to punch his ticket to a potential world title shot against the reigning three-division MMA world champion Anatoly Malykhin.

Aung La looks forward to making Shamil Erdogan taste his fist on fight night in Denver

During the same interview with Nick Atkin, the Myanmar icon anticipates a grappling-heavy approach from Erdogan during their match, and he even acknowledged his caliber as a world wrestling champion.

But the Kill Cliff FC representative reminded everyone that they would not be competing in such a ruleset. Instead, he is looking forward to putting his fist on Erdogan's face and showing him the power that he possesses.

"I know he's a wold medalist in wrestling. You know, he's a Dagestani guy, so he's gonna be tough. But it ain't wrestling, we're in a fistfight."

ONE 168: Denver will air live from the Ball Arena in Colorado on Sept. 6 during the U.S. primetime. Tickets for the event are available for sale on Ticketmaster.
