Mackenzie Dern recently expressed her thoughts after knowing about the death of Dana White's roadeo bull, Twisted Steel. Dern made her feelings known without using even a single word. Dern is currently in the final days of the preparation phase for her next fight against Amanda Ribas, which is scheduled for Jan. 11. The encounter will also serve as the headliner of the first UFC event in 2025.

Dern picked up a unanimous decision victory in her previous fight against Loopy Godinez at UFC on ABC 7. However, she hasn't been on the best of runs in recent times. A look at her last five encounters reveals that she holds a record of 2-3 in them. She will be looking to add another win to her record with a victory in the initial UFC event of the year.

However, a few days old Instagram post from the Professional Bull Riders league CEO, Sean Gleason, said that White's roadeo bull, Twisted Steel, had also passed away with the year gone by. It also mentioned that Twisted Steel succumbed to his ongoing health issues after fighting them for some time.

Mackenzie Dern wouldn't want her next fight to end in the same way as its previous installment

Mackenzie Dern's UFC Vegas 101 rival, Amanda Ribas, isn't an all-new one for her. The 31-year-old locked horns with Ribas in one of the main card fights at UFC Fight Night 161 on Oct. 12, 2019.

However, the fight turned out to be a disappointing affair for Dern as she endured a unanimous decision loss. Dern's loss was even more disheartening as she lost all three rounds of the fight on every judge's scorecard.

The Brazilian-American will walk into the cage with a mental edge over her rival from the victory in her previous fight against Loopy Godinez. Needless to say, she will leave no stone unturned to ensure that her upcoming fight against Ribas doesn't end similarly to their initial encounter.
