Media reports from the time of Jamahal Hill's arrest indicated that he had caused "serious or aggravated injury" to his brother. In the video above, Hill asserted that his brother, James Anthony Hill Jr., was the one who initiated violence, prompting 'Sweet Dreams' to retaliate after ignoring repeated warnings.

According to Hill, prior to the alleged assault, his brother had approached him with the intention to cause harm. He added:

"When he walked up in my face, I put my hand on his chest and pushed him back. When I pushed him, my finger caught him and he just makes it, like, 'Oh, bro... You hit me..' I said, 'No. I backed you up off me." [23:53]

The situation kept escalating, and the mother of Hill's kids intervened. However, Hill's brother accidentally punched her in the head, causing 'Sweet Dreams' to react.

According to Hill, he apologized to his brother, who had been waiting outside his house for a few hours after the incident. However, his brother sent him several text messages over the next few days, threatening to go to the police if he didn't pay him money. Hill refused to comply, resulting in his eventual arrest.
