6-foot-4 Muay Thai star Nabil Anane capitalized on his opportunity at ONE 170 this past Friday, Jan. 24, where he indulged Nico Carrillo in an all-out firefight over the ONE interim bantamweight Muay Thai world championship.
The Thai-Algerian standout came through with one of the biggest upsets of the night by overwhelming Carrillo in just one round, dropping the Deachkalek Muay Thai Academy representative thrice to invoke the three-knockdown rule and take the interim gold via TKO.
The promotion shared all three of Anane's knockdowns on Instagram, which can be viewed below:

Nabil Anane headed for unification bout with Superlek
Newly crowned interim bantamweight Muay Thai world champion Nabil Anane will have little time to celebrate, as his unification bout with 145-pound Muay Thai king Superlek Kiatmoo9 is projected to go down at ONE 172 on March 23.
Happening at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan, Anane's world title tilt with 'The Kicking Machine', who also holds the flyweight kickboxing crown, will have extra significance for the 20-year-old.
Aside from potentially ascending to undisputed ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world champion status, the Team Mehdi Zatout athlete can also exact his revenge on Superlek for spoiling his June 2023 promotional debut with a first-round knockout.
