The UFC 305 pre-fight press conference went in Dricus du Plessis' favor, as his comments about Israel Adesanya's childhood servants left 'The Last Stylebender' in tears. In what turned out to be an emotionally-charged presser, du Plessis remained calm and taunting, vexing his rival.
During a heated exchange, the South African star reminded Adesanya that the latter had servants who bathed him during his childhood. The comment enraged Adesanya, who embarked on an expletive-filled tirade before ultimately breaking down in tears.
Despite proudly wearing his emotions on his sleeves, the moment was not well-received by MMA fans, who turned up in the comment section of a Full Violence Instagram post to mock the former middleweight champion. One fan, for example, mocked Adesanya's 'Last Stylebender' alias.

"The Last Tearbender"
Another fan even compared du Plessis' ability to rattle his opponents at press conference to Conor McGregor's classic trash talk.
"Dricus has a way with words, don't have a word battle... you'll end up cracked. Dricus has that Conor vibe when you go at him."
Others brought up the fact Adesanya isn't the first ex-middleweight champion to be brought to tears by du Plessis at a press conference.
"DDP made Strickland cry now Izzy"
However, Adesanya was not without supporters in the comment section.
"All the casual comments in here hating on Izzy for standing up for his family but none of y'all could stand in his shoes if it were to happen to you in front of your families. Izzy win by KO."

Whether Adesanya's emotional reaction at the press conference has any bearing on how his fight with du Plessis will transpire will be an open question in everyone's minds heading into UFC 305 tomorrow.
Dricus du Plessis is one of several instances of Israel Adesanya getting emotional with his rivals
The truth of the matter is that Dricus du Plessis isn't the only fighter with whom Israel Adesanya has had issues. His first fight with Robert Whittaker saw 'The Last Stylebender' express outrage over a fairly harmless meme the former had shared on his Instagram page.

While he never cried prior to the UFC 305 pre-fight presser, he did experience an emotional upheaval against Sean Strickland, whose comments about his pet dog bothered him deeply.
