It seems Magomed Ankalaev is still hurting over his controversial draw with Jan Blachowicz at UFC 282, as the Russian makes his social media presence wider with an "American" Instagram account with English content.
Ankalaev went to war against Blachowicz for the vacant Light Heavyweight Title at UFC 282 and while most who watched the bout had it scored in favor of the Russian, the judges felt otherwise. The contest ended in a split draw and neither of the two fighters took home the belt, which remains vacant.
In a recent post on Twitter, Magomed Ankalaev expressed his discontent with the UFC for making him create a separate Instagram account for his English-speaking fans. While the 30-year-old already has an active account on the platform, it seems this new one would only serve as his English-only account. He wrote:
"Hi everyone, this is my American account. To be a great fighter is not enough to get my title, I have to become a media active too. @UFC is asking for it, and I will do it."

Magomed Ankalaev outlines plan to win back the Light Heavyweight Championship
Magomed Ankalaev recently outlined his plans to return to the octagon and achieve his dream of becoming the UFC light heavyweight champion following the disappointing result in his last outing.
Headlining the main event of UFC 282 on December 10, Ankalaev persevered after enduring adversity throughout the first two rounds and thought he did enough to defeat Jan Blachowicz. However, the bout ended in a split draw with each judge having a different result on their scorecards.
In an interview taken in his home country of Dagestan, the 30-year-old spoke about his plans going forward to push towards another title shot, saying:
"We did everything we could, the fight turned out the way it did... We earned the victory, but the judges decided not to give it to us and made it a draw... There's nothing you can do... It definitely hurt, I had the worst training camp of my life coming into that fight, I had a lot of injuries... I'm more motivated to prove myself now. Soon we'll take that belt."
