Renato Moicano has called out Paddy Pimblett for a UFC contest in the first quarter of 2025 and several fans are responding to the idea. UFC London will go down in March of next year with the promotion recently announcing their news to bring the octagon back to the UK.
With many discussing the card and fighters vying for spots on the event, Moicano has come out to campaign similarly for a big matchup. With Pimblett being a massive partisan favorite for that market and considering their history of calling out one another, Moicano mentioning the name of the former Cage Warriors standout made all the sense in the world.
Moicano took to X to call out Pimblett for the UFC London's main event and asked fans within the MMA community what their thoughts were on it. Several X users responded to Moicano's call out, and a large thread of enthusiastic UFC fans quickly started building on Twitter.

Renato Moicano and the one UFC lightweight he won't fight
While Renato Moicano has previously stated that he sees himself as the best lightweight in the UFC today, there is one name that he seems less than keen to get locked inside the cage with. This was something Moicano got into during a previous appearance on The Ariel Helwani Show following his victory over Benoit Saint-Denis.
The 35-year-old is arguably riding one of the hottest streaks of his MMA career, but Moicano playfully indicated his aversion to the idea of if he ever had a future UFC fight booked against an American Top Team compatriot of his.
That individual in question is Dustin Poirier with Renato Moicano indicating in a humourous way that the former interim UFC lightweight champion beats him up frequently in the gym.
'Money' finished off his thought by saying that while he is confident, he can beat any 155-pound fighter presently contracted to the company, the lone exception within that is Poirier.
The native of Brazil also suggested in a separate interview with CBS Sports that Poirier gave a lot of insights to Moicano on Saint-Denis. 'The Diamond' had previously beaten him before Moicano took on BSD.
