Jacob Smith is out to prove a point at ONE 169 after believing he has made significant improvements in recent years. It's uncommon for anyone to get multiple opportunities to face a superstar striker like Rodtang Jitmuangnon.

That is exactly what the Brit has on his hands, having shared the Circle with 'The Iron Man' back in 2022.

This meeting between them at ONE 157 was Smith's ONE Championship debut, and with over two years more experience now in his back pocket, the flyweight Muay Thai title challenger is confident that he can make the right adjustments to get the win this time around.

Heading into the State Farm Arena in Atlanta on November 8, he said that he was able to land heavy shots on Rodtang the first time around, but it wasn't enough. That won't be the case in the rematch, as he said in an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda MMA:

"I think he did feel my power and I got into some positions to make sure he feels my power. But, I'll be able to do it better this time. I'm better equipped, I'm a lot better."

Jacob Smith knows what to expect at ONE 169

Having competed against Rodtang in the past, Jacob Smith now knows what to expect from the Thai superstar. The world champion is known for his signature fighting style and that aggression can be a big problem for his opponents to deal with in the moment.

Smith spent a long time thinking about what he would have done differently on that night several years ago, and now he has the opportunity to correct that.

He will look to leave the State Farm Arena on November 8 after shocking the world by dethroning the dominant champion at ONE 169. Undoubtedly, this would be the biggest and most rewarding victory of his career.
