Veteran Armenian fighter Marat Grigorian is looking forward to facing ONE Championship newcomer Liu Mengyang of China in a possible showdown next after he impressed with a victory in his promotional debut last week.
Liu defeated Japanese Masaaki Noiri by decision in their featherweight kickboxing clash at ONE Friday Fights 92: Sitthichai vs. Shadow on Dec. 20 at the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. The Chinese striker considerably helped his cause by scoring a clean knockdown in the early goings of the opening round of the contest and took things from there for the win.
Speaking during the ONE Friday Fights 92 post-event interviews, Marat Grigorian, who also saw action and won in the event, said he is keen on having a matchup with Liu, saying:
"I saw that the Chinese guy won [against] Noiri. So maybe him, I don't know. Who else? Because Noiri was in the top five I think. So that's why, and he lost today, and the Chinese guy will come in his place. So maybe I'm going to fight against him."
