At the final ONE Championship event of the year, veteran contender Marat Grigorian returned to the win column inside the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
The No. 2-ranked featherweight kickboxing contender is never going to stray too far from the very top of the division given the success that he has achieved in his career.
However, if there's one box that Grigorian is still yet to check off, it is becoming a world champion under the ONE banner.
Earier this year, one opponent that he has a storied history with stopping him from achieving this goal when they collided for the interim featherweight kickboxing title at ONE Friday Fights 58.

Grigorian has been unable to defeat Superbon during their two meetings in ONE Championship, but the Armenian believes he deserved to get his hand raised in their latest encounter.
After stopping Abdelali Zahidi this past weekend in a testing fight, the top contender made it very clear what he wants next.
Grigorian said in his post-fight interviews that getting revenge over Superbon is his main source of motivation right now:
"That's the goal. That's the mindset, you know. I'm living for that, to get the champion."
The trademark style of Marat Grigorian got the job done at Lumpinee
Marat Grigorian is known for his trademark fighting style of constant pressure, aggression, and heavy hands.
Though Abdelali Zahidi put up a tough test at ONE Friday Fights 92, he was eventually overcome by the style of his opponent.
The same can be said for Grigorian's great rival, Sitthichai, who he stopped back in January at ONE 165 in Japan.
Superbon, however, is an excellent striker off of the backfoot who is able to use his kicking game to try and halt the forward momentum of his opponents.
This creates problems for Grigorian but he is confident that in their latest contest, he was the better man on the night.
