Joe Rogan recently gave his take on the surge of AI in the corporate sector, prompting a reaction from Mark Zuckerberg. Zuckerberg made a strong prediction that the advancement of AI could result in engineers losing their jobs.

Last week, Zuckerberg made his highly anticipated appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience podcast, where the two discussed a variety of topics including social media, COVID-19 vaccines, American mass media, and so on.

During their conversation, Rogan brought up an issue that many people are concerned about -- artificial intelligence taking their employment. He said:

''The fear that people have, the general fear that we're going to become obsolete is that human beings are essentially creating a superior version of higher intelligence that will be powered by quantum computing and connected to nuclear reactors and it's going to have like this ungodly ability. They've already shown that AI has learned to code. I mean this is one of the things that open AI said that they're learning how to code their own AI.''

Zuckerberg agreed with Rogan's views and stated that big corporations will replace a handful of their employees with AI this year.

''I think this year probably in 2025, we at Meta as well as the other companies that are basically working on this are going to have an AI that can effectively be a sort of midlevel engineer that you have at your company, that can write code and once you have that, then in the beginning it'll be really expensive to run and you can get it to be more efficient and then over time we'll get to the point where a lot of the code in our apps and including the AI that we generate is actually going to be built by AI engineers instead of people engineers.''

Mark Zuckerberg blames the U.S. government for COVID censorship

In the aforementioned podcast of Joe Rogan, Mark Zuckerberg criticized the Joe Biden administration for purportedly calling for the removal of anti-COVID vaccine content from Meta's social media apps.

Zuckerberg has previously been the target of harsh criticism for censoring that bolsters his political beliefs. In his defense, the Meta CEO said:

''A lot of this is documented. Jim Jordan and the house had this whole investigation and committee into the kind of government censorship around stuff like this. We produced all these documents and it's all in the public domain. Basically, these people from the Biden administration would call up our team and scream at them and curse and these documents, it's all kind of out there.'' [13:04]
