Former two-division world champion Martin Nguyen has been competing in ONE Championship for nearly a decade. He believes the promotion will continue expanding into different markets around the globe.
'The Situ-Asian' is excited for ONE to make its long-awaited North American debut at ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video. He sees that as just the beginning though.
Martin Nguyen spoke to ONE Championship about the prospect of the organization hosting events in other countries for the first time, saying:
"The step into the US market is the first step of many. I feel that he's going to open all doors all around the world. We'll probably be going to Europe soon as well, like, you never know. Just got to prepare yourself for the best. The best is yet to come every single time."

The Australian native has also expressed his desire to see an event take place in his home nation. For now, Nguyen is focused on his bout against Shamil Gasanov at ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video.
Martin Nguyen believes anyone in the featherweight top five could receive a world title shot
ONE's featherweight division is stacked with contenders vying for a shot to challenge Tang Kai. Nguyen thinks anyone in the top five can earn a title shot depending on the outcome of upcoming fights.
He told SCMP MMA:
“I know Ilya Freymanov, if I had beaten him, I knew for a fact that I was going to get a title shot again. But obviously, things didn’t go my way. I don’t know if Ilya gets the title shot or Thanh Le gets the rematch – which I think he deserves. Who knows? If Shamil beats me, he might get a title shot. If I beat Shamil, I might get a title shot. I don’t know. We’ll just see what goes on.”
Nguyen, who is the No. 4-ranked featherweight, faces a must-win in his next bout after losing three of his last four.
