The nation is oozing with martial arts talent and 'The Situ-Asian' has another massive bout coming up at ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video.
Martin Nguyen is taking things one step at a time ahead of his bout at ONE Fight Night 7
The former featherweight champ faces Russia's Shamil Gasanov in what will serve as his 18th ONE Championship appearance. The result of this fight is massive for Nguyen's career after having lost by way of finishes in three of his last four outings.
Despite that fact, the 33-year-old isn't focused on anything other than his upcoming opponent. He told SCMP MMA:
“I don’t know what the future holds. I’m just going to take it as it comes and I’m grateful to be able to set foot in the ring, in the circle, and to represent my brand and inspire a lot of people in the ONE Championship platform. One step at a time and we’ll go from there.”
Even with his recent struggles, Nguyen is still the No. 4-ranked featherweight on the roster. A win over Shamil Gasanov would go a long way in ensuring he faces a top-five opponent in his next bout.
Be sure to tune in to ONE Fight Night 7 on February 24 to watch Martin Nguyen face Shamil Gasanov in a pivotal featherweight bout, live from the Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
The entire event will be live and free to North American viewers on Prime Video.
