Ahead of his return at ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video, Martin Nguyen has been dedicating himself to his training camp.
Currently training at Kill Cliff FC in Florida, Nguyen has been making sacrifices to focus on improving his skills and picking up a win on February 24.
He isn’t alone in training overseas, however, as fellow former double world champion Aung La N Sang accompanies Nguyen on the mats of one of the top gyms in the world.
Nguyen credits Aung La and his friends and family out in Florida for making the transition far easier for him as he takes himself out of his comfort zone.

In his pre-event interview ahead of ONE Fight Night 7, ‘The Situ-Asian’ said:
“In terms of going over there and staying with Aung and his family, my sister Katie. We are going to get him to see Tial Thang and his family. It's a big family affair. They have made my life so much easier. Every single time I go over there, I wouldn't be the man I am today without my wife and the crew over there.”
Martin Nguyen will look to reap the rewards of his dedication to training on February 24 by rebounding with a big win inside the circle against Razhab Shaydullaev, solidifying his place in the featherweight rankings.
ONE Fight Night 7 will air live from the iconic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium and will be available for free to all Prime Video subscribers in North America.
Martin Nguyen says every fight from now on is a must-win
Former ONE double world champion Martin Nguyen is well aware of the importance of getting a win next time out inside the circle.
After struggling for consistency in his past fights, ‘The Situ-Asian’ is taking one fight at a time, knowing that he must keep winning in order to continue competing at the highest level.
After an incredible run in ONE Championship that saw him become the featherweight and lightweight world champion, Nguyen has been on a rough patch as of late.
In an interview with ONE Championship, he spoke about the significance of each and every fight going forward, telling the promotion:
"I feel that I only have one chance and one chance only. So every bout that I have and every bout that I get from here on has to be important. If I want that title shot bad enough, it’s just up to me to perform."
At ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video, Nguyen will face late-notice opponent Razhab Shaydullaev, an undefeated prospect from Kyrgyzstan. Nguyen’s original opponent, Russia’s Shamil Gasanov, pulled out of the fight. However, Martin Nguyen still has the opportunity to gain some momentum back with a win.
