"I'll probably make a holiday out of it afterward, finally. Every single time I've stepped foot in the US has always been in training camps or something for business. I never really had a chance to travel around and experience it. America."
Given the chance to compete in the US, 'The Situ-Asian' plans on making it a major event. He continued:
"So, if it does happen, then I'll take it with both hands. But if it doesn't, then I still won't be mad. I'll still probably be here in fight camp and probably flying over there watching it live. So, you'll never know."
Despite fighting all around the globe, he has yet to fight stateside. When asked if he has experience competing in the United States, Martin Nguyen revealed:
"No, never in the US just all over Asia and Australia."
When is Martin Nguyen's next bout in ONE Championship?
In Martin Nguyen's next bout, he will face the undefeated Dagestani Shamil 'The Cobra' Gasanov. The fight is booked for ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video, which will go down on February 24 at Lumpinee Stadium. All the action will be broadcast live and for free on Prime Video for all Amazon subscribers across North America.
It is not an easy matchup for 'The Situ-Asian' to overcome. However, he'd still like to fight at ONE Fight Night 10 on May 5. The event is to be headlined by 'Mighty Mouse' Demetrious Johnson battling 'Mikinho' Adriano Moraes.
Additionally, ONE Championship's debut on US soil will feature many of the biggest names in combat sports such as Stamp Fairtex, Sage Northcutt, Reinier de Ridder, Mikey Musumeci, and Rodtang Jitmuangnon, among others.
