Former two-division world champion Martin Nguyen has been inspired by the recent success of his good friend Aung La N Sang. He wants to replicate it as he seeks to return to winning consistently.
The fighter, known as ‘The Situ-Asian’, has been having it rough of late, being on the wrong end of a number of knockout losses. His most recent setback was a TKO defeat at the hands of Russian newcomer Ilya Freymanov in the opening round of their fight at ONE on Prime Video 2 last September.
Speaking to SCMP MMA, Martin Nguyen shared that the resurgence Aung La, himself a former two-division world champion, is having has become a motivation for him to get out of his funk and start winning anew.
