Former two-division ONE champion Martin Nguyen is pulling out all the stops ahead of his upcoming fight, including putting in work at multiple gyms.
'The Situ-Asian' is at a crossroads in his storied career after losing three of his last four bouts. He wants nothing more than to get back into world title contention, but he must get back on track with a victory at ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video.
Martin Nguyen told reporters in his pre-fight presser that he has been training in several different gyms to better prepare for his next bout. He revealed:
"Yeah, so I usually do this and move -- the fight camp was meant to be in Indonesia. I took a couple of weeks back in, I've already planned the whole American trip. And so I wasn't really going to change it despite the date having been changed."

The featherweight added:
"So I came back, and it gave me a bit more time to sharpen up my jiu-jitsu with my jiu-jitsu coach at Cabra Kai. I got to get some decent rounds in with Josh, who came off a very impressive win on the weekend at Eagle MMA, so riding with those two top gyms and coming back from a hellish camp, it's been amazing."
Nguyen is scheduled to take on ONE Championship newcomer Razhab Shaydullaev after his original opponent, Shamil Gasanov, withdrew due to injury.
Martin Nguyen willing to do whatever it takes to get back into title contention
Once a two-division champion, Martin Nguyen wants to get back into title contention. Picking up a win at ONE Fight Night 7 will go a long way in doing so.
The 33-year-old told reporters that he's willing to do whatever it takes, stating:
“It's always been all or nothing, no matter what. But in this case, it's a bit stricter, a bit more serious now. It's always been an all-or-nothing kind of thing now. I want to get myself back into title contention and do whatever it takes.”
Be sure to tune in to ONE Fight Night 7 on February 24 to watch Martin Nguyen welcome Razhab Shaydullaev to the promotion, live from the Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
The entire event will be aired live and for free to all Prime Video subscribers in North America.
